What I'm Keen on: Valentine's Day Edition.

Last year, when I started blogging, I would occasionally post "What I'm keen on". It was a few clothing items, music, beauty products, movies or whatever that I was into at the moment.
Here's a Valentine's red & pink edition!

(Starting upper left hand corner and working to the right)
1. Depression era pink glass. Always gorgeous. Pink is a difficult color to find.
2. Mad Men ads. They are brilliant. Here's the one on Sunset Blvd.
3. Jason Wu for Target.
4. Birchbox. They never disappoint. I highly recommend signing up.
(Left, going down)
5. Skirt from Anthropologie. Be still my beating heart! This lovely piece graced the Anthro catalogue cover. I catch myself longingly staring at it.
6. Lars and the Real Girl. Unconventional love story. Ryan Gosling with a mustache & weird sweaters!
7. Chevron striped kitchen dinnerware from Target. Get in my cabinets already!!
Oh, there's this little goodie that came in the mail yesterday:

I love my skeleton cameo. It's very appropriate to wear while listening to Dead Man's Bones. My friend Courtney makes these and other wonderful accessories. They are for sale in her etsy shop, Beloved Garden.
You might also be admiring my pink heart/leopard print robe. My Valentine's Day gift from Cameron.
Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!
Here's a romantic song to top it all off.

One last thing:
I need this dress.

Valentine's Day with Team Coco

We saw CONAN yesterday! Here are a few highlights:

1. We saw comedian Brian Posehn in the parking garage. Check out his picture and you'll know why we spotted him so easily.
2. We got to walk all over the Warner Brother's studio back lot. Granted it was in a single file line while the WB pages directed you, but still, I got to walk around the lot.
3. We saw some of the Vampires from True Blood. They were in robes eating at the craft services table.
4. We had great seats.
5. I know that I'm a geek and that's never been more obvious than when Conan introduced Mr. WILLIAM SHATNER! I almost came out of my seat. Capt. James T. Kirk was there!! He read the lyrics to "Umbrella".
6. Jack McBreyer, aka Kenneth the Page stopped by too. LOVE!
7. I lived out the dream of several 12 year old girls. I saw Justin Bieber.
8. Conan mixing alcholic beverages.
9. Conan sings a song after the show that you don't see on TV. I was quite thrilled to hear him sing.
10. While leaving the studio we saw none other than Mr.  Ernie Hudson! If you don't know who he is, click here.

Gah! I forgot one!
While leaving the building I spotted Pierre Bernard. Not familiar? He's Conan's designer. You'll remember him from the sketches on Late Night. I was excited to see him and wished him Happy Valentine's Day and he returned the sentiment. Very sweet guy.

You can watch the episode here. You can see us behind the guy that Conan calls out in the audience. I have a huge mouth.

What's been tickling my fancy this week.

1. England! Since we first tried fish & chips at Lucky Baldwin's here in Pasadena, I've been on a bit of a British bender. I'm quite excited for Wills & Kate to get married. There are several very crafty little subjects in England that are creating their own spin on all things royal wedding. You can take a look here.
2. The Doctor. Continuing with my British obsession, I've added Doctor Who to my favorite TV shows. The new series (they are called series in across the pond, not seasons) are available on Netflix watch instantly. If you don't know, Doctor Who is a wonderful little Sci-Fi show that's been on the BBC since 1963. They recently rebooted it and brought it back for another complete series. The characters change and the stories are all over the place, but it's a perfect little program. I highly recommend it, especially if you or someone you know loves Star Wars, Star Trek or is basically a nerd already.
3. Kalas Bowls from Ikea. They are the perfect portion for cereal, snack or soup. They are great for travel, too. Priced at $1.99 for 5, you can't go wrong.
4. Vintage Valentine's Day Decor. I love to love Valentine's Day. I've searched all over the internet for sweet little decorations and Valentines from years past. I have a  few printed out and put up in the house. Some from the Victorian Era and some from the 1940s.
